Washington, D.C. - The Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee today approved the nominations of Jeffery M. Baran to be a Member of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Virginia T. Lodge and Ronald A. Walter to be Members of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority, and S. 2963, a bill to permanently exempt small commercial and fishing vessels from the requirement to obtain a permit. The measures will now go to the full Senate for consideration.

The votes from today's business meeting are below:

Jeffery M. Baran, Member, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, approved 10-8:

ten Members voted "AYE": Boxer, Carper, Cardin, Sanders, Whitehouse, Udall, Merkley, Gillibrand, Booker, and Markey

eight Members voted "NO": Vitter, Inhofe, Barrasso, Sessions, Crapo, Wicker, Boozman, and Fischer

Virginia T. Lodge, Member, Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority, approved 16-2:

16 Members voted "AYE": Boxer, Carper, Cardin, Sanders, Whitehouse, Udall, Merkley, Gillibrand, Booker, Markey, Inhofe, Sessions, Crapo, Wicker, Boozman, and Fischer

two Members voted "NO": Vitter and Barrasso

Ronald A. Walter, Member, Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority, approved 16-2:
