Agency highlights water recycling in the city of Carlsbad
LOS ANGELES - Tomorrow, U.S. E.P.A. Regional Administrator Jared Blumenfeld will be joined by City of Carlsbad Mayor Matt Hall to declare millions of dollars in backing to the state that will enhance local water infrastructure and control water pollution statewide resulting in significant public health benefits. The backing announced will be used for a wide variety of water quality projects, including pollution reduction, municipal drinking water and wastewater infrastructure improvements, make plans more sustainable by increasing water and energy efficiency, and provide technical assistance to communities.
In addition, E.P.A. will take a tour of and highlight $37 million in past backing that is being used to expand the Carlsbad Water Recycling Facility and nearly double its capacity.
