WASHINGTON - E.P.A. Administrator Lisa P. Jackson will unveil the Obama Administration's Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Action Project at a press conference on Sunday, February 21. Administrator Jackson will be joined by Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, co-chairs of the Council of Great Lakes Governors.

In February 2009, President Obama suggested $475 million for a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. The Action Plan, which covers the years 2010 through 2014, will outline the goals and key actions the administration believes are necessary to restore and protect this natural and economic treasure.
