ATLANTA - On Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, E.P.A. (EPA) Regional Water Division Director Jim Giattina is traveling to Navarre Beach to recognize the importance of clean water at the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station (NBMSS). Mr. Giattina will tour and participate at a variety of water quality activity stations, meet with students studying environmental science and discuss how E.P.A. and the Army Corps of Engineers are strengthening protections for clean water. Mr. Giattina will be joined by District four Santa Rosa Co. Commissioner Jim Melvin and Santa Rosa School Superintendent, Tim Wyrosdick. The activity stations will be led by students and E.P.A. 2014 Presidential Innovative Award for Environmental Educators (PIAEE) Award recipient and NBMSS Director Charlene Mauro, a teacher at Navarre High School.
