WASHINGTON - On May 10, the E.P.A., in partnership with the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the U.S.D.A., the U.S. Department of the Interior and other federal, state and local partners, will declare that the Urban Waters Federal Partnership is adding eleven new locations and 2 new federal partner agencies to restore waterways, help local economies, create jobs and protect Americans' health.
The Urban Waters Federal Partnership works to reconnect urban communities, particularly those that are overburdened or economically distressed, with their waterways by improving coordination among federal agencies and collaborating with community-led revitalization efforts to enhance our Nation's water systems and promote their economic, environmental and social benefits.
