ATLANTA - Today, in celebration of the 18th yearly America Recycles Day, E.P.A. (EPA) Assistant Administrator for the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, Mathy Stanislaus, and E.P.A. Region four Regional Administrator Heather McTeer Toney, along with state officials and leaders from the recycling and manufacturing sectors, will highlight the economic benefits of recycling. In addition to conserving natural resources, recycling supplies the manufacturing sector with materials they need, while creating jobs for American workers.

The Summit will bring together leaders from across the U.S. to project initial steps toward the country's action project to meet the recently announced, nationwide goal to reduce food loss and waste by 50 percent by 2030.
