Media Advisory: E.P.A. Will Hold Public Meeting at Kent State about Health Study

July 9, 2013 -- The E.P.A. will hold a public meeting at 7:00 p.m., July eleven at Kent State University, Slak Shak Meeting Room, 400 East fourth Street, East Liverpool, Ohio, to share preliminary findings of a health study of airborne manganese exposure of adults in East Liverpool, Marietta and Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

The preliminary study was conducted for E.P.A. by San Francisco State University scientist Dr. Rosemarie Bowler who will present the study results and answer questions at the meeting. Representatives of EPA, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry and the Ohio Department of Health will also be present.

Preliminary study results will be posted on EPA's website on July twelve at: http://www.epa.gov/nheerl/mnstudy.
