"We are pleased with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) Pre-license Application Presiding Officer Board's ruling today to uphold DOE's Licensing Support Network (LSN) certification. This enables D.O.E. to move forward as planned and to submit a high quality license application for the Yucca Mountain repository to the NRC by no later than June 30, 2008. D.O.E. has made electronically accessible on the NRC's LSN over 3.5 million documents, estimated to exceed 30 million pages. Through the LSN, the public can view scientific data, geologic and engineering studies, and other detailed analyses related to DOE's license application for the nation's spent nuclear fuel and high-level waste repository to be located at Yucca Mountain."
