DALLAS - (June 30, 2015) Today, E.P.A. (EPA) Regional Administrator Ron Curry and Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler will outline how a $400,000 E.P.A. cleanup grant will help the city address contaminated properties known as brownfields sites.
The briefing will focus on Shreveport's latest brownfields redevelopment initiative, the Cross Bayou Corridor Project, as well as other cleanup opportunities throughout the city. The backing will help Shreveport assess and clean brownfields sites, which are abandoned properties that are difficult to redevelop because of the presence or potential presence of contamination.
