Public Meeting on Alabama Plating Superfund Location Set for Monday in Vincent, Alabama

ATLANTA - The E.P.A. (EPA) and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) will host a public meeting for the general public on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Vincent Middle High School auditorium in Vincent, Alabama from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to discuss the suggested cleanup project for the Alabama Plating Superfund Site.

EPA's suggested cleanup project for the location consist of remediating the Site, located approximately one mile northeast of Vincent at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 231 and Co. Hwy. 60 . E.P.A. and ADEM representatives directing cleanup activities will select a final remedy after viewing and considering information submitted during the 30 day public review period.

E.P.A. in conjunction with the state may modify the Preferred Alternative or select another response action based on new information or public comments.
