Harper Avenue to close temporarily during EPA’s oil cleanup in Saint Clair Shores

Chicago (Oct. 6, 2015) - Starting the week of October 12, Harper Avenue in Saint Clair Shores, Mich., will be closed in both directions between Lakeland and Bon Brae for 4 weeks to allow the E.P.A. to remove a pipe containing PCB-contaminated oil.

Road closure notices will be posted at 10-Mile and 11-Mile Roads.

Recently, E.P.A. observed contaminated oil flowing from a pipe under Harper Avenue during the Agency's ongoing cleanup of the 10 Mile drain storm water system.
