E.P.A. Recognizes New Mexico Gas Company—2015

DALLAS - (April 6, 2015) The E.P.A. (EPA) and the D.O.E. (DOE) are honoring New Mexico Gas Company for its commitment to saving energy and protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. They are contributing to the prevention of in excess of 3.5 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.
"EPA applauds this year's Energy Star Partner of the Year Award winners, who have demonstrated innovative strategies to help their customers, partners and stakeholders save energy and cut greenhouse gas emissions," said E.P.A. Regional Administrator Ron Curry. "Their commitment to enhance the nation's energy and environmental outlook will provide the next generation a brighter, healthier future."
New Mexico Gas Company, a TECO Energy Company, in Albuquerque, N.M. is receiving the Partner of the Year award for strategically and comprehensively managing their energy use. They promote Energy Star products and practices in their own operations, while providing energy-efficient products and services to their customers.
E.P.A. will recognize the 128 awardees from 33 states on April 20
th at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. E.P.A. Administrator McCarthy and Jim Gibbons, Goodwill Industries International President and CEO, will provide keynote remarks.
Energy Star has over 16,000 partners working to protect the environment through greater energy efficiency, including manufacturers, retailers, public schools, hospitals, real estate companies, and home builders.
