Dover, N.H. Wastewater Treatment Plant Acknowledged for Excellence

BOSTON - The Dover Wastewater Treatment Facility was recently recognized with a "2015 Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Excellence Award" by the E.P.A.'s New England regional office.

The Dover Facility, led by Supervisor Ray Vermette, was acknowledged for exceptional work in operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment plant. The plant was one of 5 facilities in New England acknowledged for exemplary performance during 2015.

The E.P.A. Regional Wastewater Awards Plan acknowledges personnel in the wastewater field who have provided invaluable public service managing and operating wastewater treatment facilities throughout New England. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services was instrumental in nominating the Dover Facility.

"The professionals operating these wastewater treatment plants, as well as the municipalities and the state environmental agencies that support them, are essential to keeping our environment healthy by protecting water quality. I am proud to give them the credit they deserve," said Curt Spalding, regional administrator of EPA's New England Office.

The Dover Wastewater Treatment Facility was acknowledged for its outstanding work on January 27th at the yearly New England Water Environment Association Conference in Boston.
