HOUSTON - E.P.A. Administrator McCarthy will travel to Houston Thursday, March sixth. The Administrator will begin the day with a walking tour of the Buffalo Bayou Plan alongside Houston Mayor Annise Parker and U.S. Representative Gene Green. A short press availability will follow the walking tour.

Later in the day, Administrator McCarthy will deliver a keynote address at the CERAWeek conference on energy and the environment. The Administrator's keynote follows EPA's announcement on Monday of cleaner fuel and car requirements that will cut harmful air pollution, save money and protect people's health. This trip is part of EPA's continuing efforts to engage industry, local leaders and other stakeholders as E.P.A. works to implement President Obama's Climate Action Project.
