Public Availability Sessions to be Held Concerning Lyman Plating Dump Location in Lyman, S.C.

(ATLANTA - May 29, 2008) Officials in the Unified Command that includes E.P.A. and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (S.C. DHEC) will hold 2 public availability sessions regarding the Lyman Plating Dump Location in Lyman, S.C. The public availability sessions will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 from six p.m. to eight p.m. and on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from ten a.m. until noon at the Lyman Municipal Complex (Town Hall) Council/Court Room, 81 Groce Road, Lyman, S.C. 29365.

Representatives from E.P.A. and S.C. DHEC will be accessible to provide information, answer questions, and address citizen concerns about the environmental investigation underway. No formal presentation is planned. The availability session is an open session that allows the public to speak with response officials one-on-one.

A media availability session will be held prior to the public availability session on Friday, May 30, 2008 to allow officials to answer questions from the media. The media session is scheduled for five p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Lyman Municipal Complex (Town Hall) Council/Court Room, 81 Groce Road, Lyman, S.C. 29365.
