(New York, N.Y.) TODAY, Tuesday, August 3rd, E.P.A. Administrator Lisa P. Jackson will tour the Agency's Edison Environmental Center in Edison, NJ. A press briefing will take place immediately following the visit. Administrator Jackson will be joined by Congressman Frank Pallone and Edison Mayor Antonia Ricigliano to highlight the Agency's commitment to science, and protecting human health and the environment.

Where: E.P.A. Edison Environmental Center; 2890 Woodbridge Ave. Edison, NJ. In front of Environmental Response Team's new trailers (between buildings 209 and 212).

The Edison Environmental Center is equipped with several labs where key analysis and scientific information is gathered to support the agency's regional environmental programs. The 281,000 square-foot Edison campus is also home to a national emergency operations center, a newly refurbished center that allows E.P.A. to efficiently coordinate with field personnel during emergencies and to run a 24-7 operation during major emergencies. Just 2 weeks ago, new trailers arrived that will house the new national Response Team lab facilities, which will provide more modern equipment to respond to emergencies.
