Media Advisory: Briefing on Dayton vapor investigation, AUGUST 2, two P.M.

CHICAGO (July 31, 2007) - E.P.A. Region five and Ohio Department of Health will brief media about ongoing sampling and mitigation work at the Behr VOC Plume Location in Dayton, Ohio. E.P.A. will provide an update on the plan status and projects to address indoor air contamination at Dayton's Van Cleve Elementary School. The briefing will take place at the school, 1032 Webster St., on Thursday, Aug. two at two p.m.

EPA, Ohio Department of Health, Ohio E.P.A. and DaimlerChrysler are working on a project to control indoor air hazards caused by a plume of trichloroethylene (TCE) contamination in ground water originating from the former DaimlerChrysler facility on Leo Street. At the briefing, officials will share recent sampling results, mitigation completed, and outline next steps.
