Government Press Briefing on Ongoing Enbridge Oil Spill Response Shifts to Twice-Weekly Schedule (Mon. and Thursday) Beginning Thursday, August Twelve

MARSHALL, MICH. - The EPA-hosted telephone media briefings regarding the ongoing response to the Enbridge oil spill in Michigan's Kalamazoo River will shift to twice weekly beginning Thursday, August 12. The briefings, conducted on behalf of the Unified Command, will still include E.P.A. officials along with federal, state and Co. representatives.

E.P.A. has the role of Federal On-Scene Coordinator for this incident.

The conference call briefings will take place Mondays and Thursdays at 3:00 PM EDT until further notice.

Officials with Enbridge will still brief the media immediately following the government briefing ON THE SAME CONFERENCE LINE.
