(Dallas, Texas - September 18, 2008) The E.P.A. has several recorded public service announcements (PSAs) offering safety tips to affected residents as they begin to cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

The recorded messages accessible in English, Spanish and Vietnamese, provide information on how to safely operate a generator, how to properly use household cleaners, how to handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and how to safely deal with asbestos and mold, among other useful information.

These PSA's are readily accessible to the media for broadcasting and to the general public through the EPA's web location at http://www.epa.gov/hurricane under the section titled "Hear What To Do". To listen to the PSA just click on the file name. To download a PSA to your computer, right-click on the PSA name and select "save" or "save target as".
