WASHINGTON -The E.P.A. (EPA) will hold four, two-day public hearings across the country on the suggested Clean Power Project federal Project and model rules during the weeks of November nine and November 16, 2015. The hearings will be held at federal buildings in Pittsburgh, Denver, Washington D.C., and Atlanta, and will provide the opportunity for interested parties to review on the suggested actions. E.P.A. is accepting written comments on the suggestion through January 21, 2016.

At the direction of President Obama and after an unprecedented outreach effort, E.P.A. released the Clean Power Plan, which for the 1st time looks for to cut carbon pollution from existing power plants, the single biggest source of carbon pollution in the United States. By 2030, the Project will cut carbon pollution from the power sector by nearly a 3rd and additional reductions will come from pollutants that can create dangerous soot and smog, translating to significant health benefits for the American people.

As part of this plan, E.P.A. suggested model rules states can adopt, as well as a federal Project that the E.P.A. will put in place if a state fails to submit an adequate plan.
