(11/10/2015 --ATLANTA) -The E.P.A. (EPA) will hold a, two-day public hearing on the suggested Clean Power Project federal Project and model rules during the week of November 16, 2015. The hearing will be held at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal building in Atlanta, and will provide the opportunity for interested parties to review on the suggested actions. E.P.A. is accepting written comments on the suggestion through January 21, 2016.

At the direction of President Obama and after an unprecedented outreach effort, E.P.A. released the Clean Power Plan, which for the 1st time looks for to cut carbon pollution from existing power plants, the single biggest source of carbon pollution in the United States. By 2030, the Project will cut carbon pollution from the power sector by nearly a 3rd and additional reductions will come from pollutants that can create dangerous soot and smog, translating to significant health benefits for the American people.

As part of this plan, E.P.A. suggested model rules states can adopt, as well as a federal Project that the E.P.A. will put in place if a state fails to submit an adequate plan.
