E.P.A. Administrator to Deliver Keynote at GE Yearly Meeting in Florence

WASHINGTON - E.P.A. (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy is visiting Geneva, Florence and Rome this week. She will deliver the keynote address at the General Electric Oil & Gas Yearly Meeting on Monday, February two in Florence, Italy. Administrator McCarthy will highlight the Obama Administration's energy and environment accomplishments and share an international vision for responsible energy development.

As part of the trip, Administrator McCarthy will speak with the World Health Organization's executive board in Geneva, Switzerland. She will then meet with senior officials at the Vatican to discuss steps the U.S. is taking to act on climate change and the importance of international cooperation. Administrator McCarthy will also hold separate roundtables with business leaders and Catholic journalists on climate action in Rome, Italy.
