WASHINGTON - E.P.A. (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy will travel to New York today to deliver remarks at the 85th Yearly League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Conference Presidential Banquet. LULAC is the biggest and oldest Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States. McCarthy's remarks will focus on climate change and disproportionate public health impacts on the Latino community.
Climate change supercharges health risks like asthma and others ailments associated with increased temperatures and pollutants that come packaged with carbon pollution. EPA's Clean Power Project proposal, a vital piece of President Obama's Climate Action Plan, cuts carbon pollution from existing power plants, the single biggest source of carbon pollution in the United States.
WHO: E.P.A. Administrator Gina McCarthy
WHAT: Remarks at 85th Yearly League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Conference
WHEN: Friday, July 11; seven p.m. EDT

1335 Avenue of the Americas
